Girly Swirly Camp

I had the wonderful opportunity of being a leader at my church's girl's camp this year. The week before camp was AWFUL. I was literally planning in every spare second that I had. I had made a treasure hunt and an agenda months earlier because I knew I'd be busy, but everything else was planned the week before. Devotionals, activities, camp fire stuff, pillow presents, and secret sister stuff. It wasn't a great week, but the results were the best.

The girls are so fantastic and I had a blast with them. We only had three there the whole time and then one other girl came up for a day and a half, but it was still awesome. Our theme was "treasure seekers" so I made 2 very intense treasure hunts. One of them took the girls to a resort about 45 minutes away where they got to stop and go horseback riding, have a picnic, golf a bucket of balls, get ice cream, pick up letters from their parents at the post office, and go swimming. It was so fun! If you can't tell, I'm super proud of myself. This is how excited we were about the treasure hunt:
We got to be one with nature and be silly and sing rediculous camp songs and eat way too much, but it was fun. As much fun as it was, I'll never agree to be camp director again while I have a small child. It was just a little too wild pawning him off on anyone I could think of. Maybe when my kids are older and Zac can take a few days off work or something, then I'll try it again.

To any mom's out there with a baby: If you ever get asked to be camp director...JUST SAY NO!

Found it!

Hooray, I found my camera cord so I'll continue trying to catch up on my blogging. These are pictures of the fun time we had with my side (dad) of the family. 6 of the 8 brothers and sisters were there with their families so it was a blast! LOTS of little kids! Here are a few people, everyone is probably watching Brian play the wi, notice I'm not. I just don't gets kicks out of watching people play video games...Brian's been trying to get us to watch him play video games since I can remember....haha
We were at my dad's house for the fourth, but Mr. Teagan decided to get all sick so instead of going to the parade and family BBQ me and Zac stayed home alone and played tennis on the wi while Teagan took 5 hours worth of naps. We did enjoy a FANTASTIC fireworks show right in my dad's back yard. He gets a little wild with the fireworks, but it is so fun!

Here is the cake I made, I want you to know that it is a perfect representation of the flag. Zac and Rachel counted out 50 stars and Julie (and maybe Jeff) oversaw the stripe making. We don't mess around with america!
All the cousins except little Kai. Aren't they adorable?

Hi Sasha, lets be friends.
Teagan on the plane ride home. He ended up getting his own seat...SAWEET! But he still wasn't thrilled about sitting there for 1.5 hours.

We had SO much fun in Idaho with each of our families. In one day Teagan got to see all 5 of his grandparents and almost all of his aunts and uncles, it was pretty sweet. Thanks everyone for being AWESOME family!

No Camera Cord

Well we got a new computer from a very nice guy in my mom's ward and I love it! It is so much faster and it works so much better than our old one. The only problem is that our old computer had a spot for me to just stick my memory card into the tower. Zac's laptop has one too so for the year and a half I've had my digital camera, I've NEVER used my camera cord for the computer. Thus, I have NO clue where it is at. I'm afraid it's stacked in our outside storage closet in a box....that is a scary thought. Until I brave the closet (there are spiders!) there won't be any pictures on the blog.

As a side note I have a funny story to tell. Me and Zac have been SLACKING in the diet and excercise area ever since we went up to Idaho. Especially on the diet. So the other night we were praying and I prayed that we would have the will to eat healthier and have more motivation to exercise. Well yesterday I woke up and I had a canker sore, it wasn't that big of a deal, but by last night it had gotten bigger and was KILLING me. We went to coldstones to celebrate that Zac PASSED his HUGE test (he is AMAZING!) and I couldn't even eat a few bites before my mouth was hurting too much. When I woke up this morning my face seriously felt deformed. This canker sore is so swollen (it's at the front of my mouth) that you can see where it is from the outside of my mouth. It hurts to talk and eat and is getting ridiculous.

It wasn't exactly what I was looking for as an answer to my prayers, but it's totally working. I don't even feel like eating anything, especially not sweets. Maybe this is just the begining to a life without chocolate cake and ice cream and cravings. I learned a lesson, be careful what you pray for!

Dancin' Fool

Zac hooked Teagan up with my ipod and he loved it! He danced around the kitchen for a long time, so funny!

Daniels Fam

Part of our Idaho fun included hanging out with Zac's parents and family. We went golfing up in Ashton. Shelly and I drove the cart, and Teagan drank the pop and helped golf. It was a really fun afternoon.
Golfing in his golfer outfit.

I got really excited because I thought these deer were real from a distance...haha, not even close, they were Teagan sized, and plastic.

The pro-golfer...Zac LOVES golfing especially with his dad and brothers!

This is what golfing with a baby looks like.

Family picture
The next day we headed over to Zac's parents house for a yummy bbq. Their yard is SO pretty. They have a huge, green, lawn and lots of pretty plants and a cute patio. It is the perfect place for a bbq! It was so sad because Teagan napped for a couple hours and then when he woke up his cousin, Taylin had to go down so they didn't get to play. The food was still delicious and the company was excellent.

Poor little guy was sick the whole weekend, it sure puts a damper on the fourth of July weekend when your baby isn't feeling well!

We played a big game of Volley Ball, or I should say they played a big game of volley ball. I have to admit that I was a poor sport and quit because I suck at sports and couldn't take the teasing ( I think zac teased me once, that's all it took) haha. On my list of things to do when Zac is done with school: take classes on being athletic, oh wait I already did that, shoot. I just hope hope hope that our kids don't inherit my inability to play sports!!!!!!!! I guess every sport needs a cheer leader. :)

It was so good to see that side of the family, we look forward to seeing them again soon!

I'm finally home!- Fun with my Side of the family

You know I've been busy when I only have 1 blog post in July and it's already the 18th! Almost exactly one month ago Teagan and I left for a 2 week trip up north to see family. We had a blast! Then I came home and literally DOVE into planning girls camp (I was the director kind of). I was planning treasure hunts, skits, devotionals and everything else day and night. Then the next week (last week) I spent up at camp having a blast.

Everything was so fun, but I'm VERY VERY excited to try to get back onto a daily routine with a clean house and, of course, blogging!

I only have time for a little bit so I'll start with the pictures of the fun with my mom and all her grandbabies. We stayed with my Grandma Packer in Idaho Falls for a few days and had a reunion with everybody there. My mom LOVED having all of her kids and grandkids together and so did I.

The kids LOVED jumping on the extra bed's at my brother Brian's house. They played downstairs forever!
We used to live next to my grandma so it was SO fun to see her again and walk down memory lane as we drove past our old apartment. We always get spoiled with jello, yummy soups, cake, and of course her famous oatmeal raisin cookies. Thanks grandma!

One morning we went to my brother Jake and his wife Angie's home to have a yummy breakfast and play in their pool and sandbox. The kiddos loved it! The thing that amazes me is the number of toddlers! There weren't even enough stools for all of them. Zac was trying to keep these three's bowls full of food and as you can see by the expressions, Zac was analyzing the food and Jeff was really impressed with Zac's abilities.

My lovely sisters and lovely son, Teagan's trying to pose like Julie I think.

All of my mom's grandbabies, aren't they adorable!

My mom is the master of age appropriate activities. She got a long tube and about 30 bouncy balls. Teagan and Kate LOVED it! Plus it was super cheap, she is brilliant! I liked it too. How can you go wrong with 30 bouncy balls?

We had so much fun. We did a lot of hanging out while waiting for naps, but that is just the nature of a bunch of kids 2 and under! I can't wait for the day when we all live on the same street and everyday is a family reunion. I seriously LOVE my family!

Posts to come: Fun with Zac's side of the family, my dad's side, random pictures and maybe girls camp if I'm feeling up to it.

Big Boy Bed!

I'm sure everyone is eagerly waiting to find out how we chose to solve our bed time problem after that last post about Teagan crawling out of bed. haha

Our solution:

-Spend $7 at Wal-Mart buying bins to package up every toy in his room so that no toys are accessible to Teagan.

-Take the crib off of the stand and set it directly on the floor.

-Leave the bars out so he can freely climb in and out of bed

He's only had his bed like this for 24 hours. He is super excited about the freedom and wouldn't stop going in and out of bed before we put him down. When Zac put him down he just told Teagan to stay in bed. He listened!!! Then this morning at 6, Teagan came running into our room looking for a bubba. We helped him find it and put him back to bed for another 3 hours. SWEET!!!! That is way later than usual for him!

His nap time was nonexistant, he was poopy and it just didn't happen. Next time I'll wait until he is good and tired. Any ideas on keeping kids in their beds to go to sleep? I know he is super young so this will be challenging, but at least it cost $7 instead of $50 or more!
