We had such a fun time in Bear Lake with the Daniels family. The drive there was really scary. It was definitely a blizzard and I was so scared. We luckily were behind a truck who turned on their hazards so that we could see and follow them. We couldn't even see the side of the road. That truck must have been an answer to our prayers for safe travels! We finally made it and had the house in view, but the road was so slick and our tires were so bald that we couldn't make it up the hill. Luckily Grandpa Daniels was watching out the window and came to the rescue. He hooked us up to the truck and pulled us up the hill. It was all pretty comical at that point. It was so nice to come in to a warm cozy cabin.
The cabin was great and we all had a blast. Teagan is turning into a real boy and said that all the yummy food was his favorite part of the weekend. Grandma made him a pancake as big as the whole plate. He made it about ⅔ of the way through before he was stuffed.
The Thanksgiving feast was definitely a feast! There was so much food and it was all so amazing and delicious. There are some good cooks in the family!
The three littlest girls had so much fun playing together and getting spoiled by grandma and grandpa. They sure are lucky!
There was a lot of laying around watching movies, eating gumballs, snuggling, tickling, game playing and laughing.
There was also a lot of sitting on our phones, unfortunately, I didn't have service so I just took pictures of everyone else. haha
Addy finally got acquainted with everyone and had fun going between everyone and being cute. She followed around the big kids and tried to steal their candy too.
It snowed all weekend so the kids spent lots of time outside. I was so proud of Teagan, he noticed when grandpa went out to shovel and hurried and got dressed to help him. He didn't need to be asked, he just wanted to help. He sure loves his grandpa.
All the other kids were close behind. Addy loves to be in the snow and doesn't seem to get cold as quickly as I'd expect.
Teagan and Taylin had a blast running around, taking turns pulling each other on the sled and just being kids.
Eloise isn't a fan of being cold (she gets that from me) and didn't last long out in the snow with the other kids. Luckily grandma had lots of fun activities inside. She loved making her turkey cupcake. It's pretty darn cute.
We took a day and went over to Logan and partied. We went to the theater and saw "The Good Dinosaur" and then went out to eat at "The Element." The restaurant reminded us why we don't take our kids to nice restaurants...wow. Broken cups, spilled water, huge tantrums, bad manners. It was downright embarrassing. Somehow we got this picture of me looking very serene, this must have happened early on, haha. I think that it is so fun to go out with our kids, but it only works if the food is kid friendly (not homemade mac n cheese, kraft), we aren't with any other adults so we can chat with them, and it is fast service.
Overall, it was a great weekend. The kids love to play with their cousins, and we love to play with the adults. I wish I had more pictures, but as usual, we were too busy having a good time.
