Big and Bad

Today was parent teacher conference.  Teagan is doing great and thriving at school.  I can't believe how much he's learned so far this year!

This was his work on display.  It says, "this fish is big and bad."   I love his artwork!

Pi Day!

We went to Mick's to celebrate Pi day and eat delicious homemade pie.  I think it's the beginning of a fun family tradition.  Easy and fun.

The Grand Chef

Last night Teagan really wanted breakfast for dinner and offered to help if I agreed.  How could I not?  He added everything to the blender for our smoothie and poured and flipped pancakes quite expertly.  In between those tasks he was setting the table and helping clear out the dishwasher.  When he gets an idea he goes all out!  I didn't have to get him back on task at all, just gave a few pointers about what types of food to put in the blender and how to tell if the pancakes were ready.

He is growing up so fast, becoming responsible and such.  I'm lucky to have him around, he makes life so fun and is so helpful!

Ouch!

Teagan dropped a huge boulder on his finger On Saturday and it is looking painful!

He showed a boy in our neighborhood by holding up just his middle finger, he obviously has no idea that it is a little offensive.  In hushed tones the boy proceeded to tell Teagan that he showed "satan's finger."  No matter what we tell  Teagan he is convinced that the boy was right.  Kids are so full of interesting information.

Eloise is 2!

We had such a fun time celebrating our little girl's birthday!  She loved it!

The real fun started when we lit the candles on a cupcake, she was a little perplexed at first when everyone was singing to her.

She loved the fun toy car that we got her and the kitten that meows that Teagan picked out for her.
I believe the highlight was licking out the frosting bowl that morning.

We had some family over which was so fun for her, she loves those cousins!  The kids and adults had lots of fun playing tag on the big hill.
Yay for being 2!  She is definitely 2, she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to say so.  She loves to be a ham and act "cute" so that people will tell her how cute she is.  She likes to hide and scare us and also loves to make us laugh.  She is fully potty trained (Woohoo!) and is just seeming like such a big girl.  She loves to dance and talk and carry a purse around.  Quite the little ball full of fun.

Good Boys are Hard to Find

I've always known that Teagan was awesome, but the older he gets the more Isee how  fantastic he really is.

He is a determined and hard working kid.  Recruiting help when the snowballs got to heavy to roll, giving up wasn't a thought.

Watching him with Eloise melts my heart.  He is so thoughtful and doting.  I love that from the beginning he's treated and talked to her like she is a real person.  He comes up with games for them to play, praises her for going potty, shares his candy, and includes her.  There are definitely low moments where he gets a little too much satisfaction out of making her scream, but he is never malicious, just a tease.

He is getting so tall!  Pants and shirts appear to be shrinking and he just feels too big.  I get sad at the thought of him growing up, 6 is an awesome age, I want to enjoy every second!

Bed Head

Eloise's hair is growing so fast!   She has had some crazy hair the last few mornings, what a cutie!
