Thanksgiving

We made a gratitude tree for the month of November to try to keep our minds focused on gratitude and all of the many things our family has been blessed with.  The kids helped come up with ideas for things that they are grateful for.  Adeline just kept saying Charlie Brown, Eloise mentioned all the members of our family and Teagan thought of tons of ideas, everything from the gospel to sports to teachers to toys.  Our family is so blessed and three of our biggest blessing are sitting under that tree.

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi's house.  We had almost all the cousins there!  Just missing Jake's family.  The kids had a blast together, as always.  The food was so delicious, the whole main room was full of tables.  After the meal we played games and Zac, Rachel and Brian went on a hunt for black friday ads.  We looked through the ads which turned out to be very overwhelming.  Grandpa planted grass so we had a blast playing a big family game of soccer, this was definitely my favorite part of the day.

Grandpa was taking kids for rides on his ATV (or whatever it's called, Razr?) and it got high centered on a mound of dirt.  He pulled out the winch and the kids held it and pulled it out.  It was super cool to watch and the kids were flabbergasted at their amazing strength.  I don't get the physics of a winch so I was super impressed too!
Overall, we had a wonderful day, cousin days are always the best days.
